Making friends as an adult is weirdly hard.
We're fixing that.

SkilLoop gives you a real reason to meet someone new — teach a skill you have, learn one you want. The session is just the excuse. The friendship is the point.

Your name

First, let's put a name to a face.

People are more likely to connect with someone they feel they already know a little.

Your details stay private. Your full name is only visible to people you match with — never publicly listed.
How it works
1
Tell us one skill you can share
Doesn't have to be professional. Cooking, Spanish, guitar, data analysis, pottery — anything you genuinely know.
2
We match you with someone interesting
Based on who you are, not just what you know. The skill is how you start. The connection is the point.
3
Meet. Teach. Learn. Repeat.
An hour each way. You leave knowing something new — and having met someone worth knowing.
4
Your first 5 hours are on us
Early members get 5 free hours on signup. No teaching required to start learning.
Why people want this
"After uni I realised I had no idea how to make new friends. Everyone I met was a work contact or someone from a group chat that never actually met up."

Questions we get asked
Do I need to be an expert at what I teach?
No. You just need to know more than the other person. If you can make a decent sourdough, someone wants to learn from you. The best teachers are usually one or two steps ahead — not decades ahead.
Is this a dating app?
No. Genuinely. There's no swiping, no romantic framing, no "are you interested?" mechanic. It's designed for friendship and connection — the kind that forms when two people have something real to do together.
How does the hour economy work?
You earn 1 SkilLoop Hour for every hour you teach. You spend hours to book sessions with others. New members get 5 free hours on signup — so you can learn before you teach if you want to. Earning and spending are separate, so you're never doing a simultaneous swap.
Which cities are you launching in first?
We're going city by city to make sure the experience is great before we scale. We'll launch where the waitlist is densest first. Signing up now — and getting friends to sign up — moves your city up the list.
Is it safe? How do you verify people?
We require real names (visible to your matches only), verified email, and rated sessions. Every person builds a trust score over time — loops completed, ratings, endorsements from people they've taught. You can always see who someone is before you meet.
When does it launch?
We're in private beta now. We'll invite waitlist members personally, city by city, starting with the most active lists. If you want to move up the queue — share this page with one person who'd genuinely get it.
The people you're looking for are already looking too.
